Born in Maastricht, I grew up in an environment where art, antiques, and expression were part of everyday life. From a young age, I sought ways to shape experiences, feelings, dreams, and inner worlds – initially through music, later through visual arts. This quest has become my lifeline.
My fascination with free, expressive art began when I saw plaster torsos, colorful paintings, and 3D objects in my immediate surroundings – raw, pure, full of layers. I still seek that same depth in my work: the narrative, the layered, the unpolished.
For over 27 years, I worked in psychiatry, the last 22 years as a mobile team. In that work, I found inspiration in exploring the human mind – its vulnerability, strength, unpredictability, and beauty. My art reflects what happens beneath the surface: soul stirrings, memories, dreams, traumas – depicted in material, color, and form.
I give voice to the unseen, the unusual, the unheard. My work is an ode to the free spirit, to those who live or think outside the lines. I resist anything that silences: injustice, oppression, exclusion. Inclusivity is not a buzzword for me, but a deep conviction. My art aims to create space – for difference, for stories, for humanity.
