Dia de los muortos 

The Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican celebration that honors the deceased. It is celebrated on November 1st, the first of November is a day of remembrance and celebration, where the living and the dead come together in a beautiful tradition that emphasizes the importance of family, love, and memory.  The  2nd  november is dedicated to honoring deceased adults. This day is a continuation of the celebrations that begin on the first of November, but with a focus on the spirits of adults who have passed away.

On this day, families continue to create and maintain ofrendas (altars) in their homes and cemeteries. These altars are adorned with marigold flowers, candles, photos of the deceased, and their favorite foods and drinks. The marigold flowers, known as cempasĂșchil, are believed to guide the spirits back to the world of the living with their vibrant color and strong scent.

is a mix of indigenous rituals and Catholic traditions. . Sugar skulls and “pan de muerto” (bread of the dead) are also made, and there are parades and festivals with music, dance, and colorful costumes.
